The project is located in Gulan, Bao’an, Shenzhen, which is the “Land of Culture” and the hometown of famous artist, Chen Yanqiao. Surrounded the design concept of “flying print”, combined with Hakka old buildings characters and rich history of local making prints, like the form of making prints, the fa?ade of the architecture was constituted by rectangular iron plates, and the metal skin of the architecture and the floating metal plates in the axes were fixed by the metal materials, rotating by itself in the core of the axes, like the birds or catkin flying in the air.
The new architecture blended harmoniously into the landscape and formed one organic oval ball, like a big rock, into two parts: Art Gallery and Trading Center, extending from the three exiting architecture along the passageway. To produce the water waves like throwing a big rock into water. The architecture and the waves of man-made hills, pawns and plaza broke each other’s space and extending from the gray plaza below Trading Center to outdoor, create the new space.
